Our 10th Leibniz Plant Biochemistry Symposium on May 7 and 8 was a great success. This year's theme was new methods and research approaches in natural product chemistry. The excellent presentations on active substances and specialized metabolites from plants and bacteria, NMR-based metabolomics, computational genomics and AI-based synthesis and prediction techniques were followed by almost 120 guests. There were many opportunities for fruitful discussions. The atmosphere was excellent.
Young Hae Choi gives the evening lecture on NMR-based metabolomics.
Robert Kourist talks about enzymatic syntheses of olefins.
Rebecca Goss talks about modifications of natural products.
Fanny Roussi: Specialized plant metabolites.
Lena Barra talks about non-canonical metabolic pathways.
Nadine Ziemert focuses on computational genomics.
Eric Helfrich: Biosynthesis of natural products and AI
Philipp Heretsch discusses cycloartane-derived carbocations.
Fabian Pfrengle: Synthetic carbohydrates as the basis for cell walls and plant immunity
