EU Research Funding
The 9th EU Framework Program "Horizon Europe" is the successor program to "Horizon 2020" and will run from 2021 to 2027, with a budget of €95.5 billion. Collaborative research remains the central funding instrument in "Horizon Europe". The program is "missions" oriented. The planned missions are a response to "the clear need for greater outreach to citizens". It consists of three pillars: "Excellent Science", "Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness" and "Innovative Europe", complemented by the area "Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area". Information on all calls for proposals can be found on the EU Portal Funding & tender opportunities.
The websites of the National Contact Points, the Leibniz Office in Brussels and KoWi offer additional information on the individual funding lines, workshops and support during the application process. In addition to that the Research Funding Officer will gladly assist IPB researchers with any questions regarding the application process.
