Congratulations to Prof. Sabine Rosahl!

Sabine Rosahl, head of the Research Group Induced Pathogen Defense (Department Stress and Developmental Biology), has been appointed an honorary professor for Plant Biotechnology of the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Köthen this month (15th of May).

Prof. Rosahl has already been working at the IPB since 18 years. Since 2000, she has been active as a lecturer at the Anhalt University, where she gives the lectures “Plant Biotechnology” and “Special Biochemistry of Plants and Microorganisms” during the winter and summer semesters. This teaching work is very successful and is continuously attracting young researchers to the IPB, who wants to do their diploma, bachelor or master thesis respectively, and also their PhD thesis at our institute.

The award is now honoring her long-term and strong commitment of academic teaching at the University.

This high recognition of her work contributes once again to the positive external visibility of our institute, even beyond the city of Halle. Therefore, we are happy with Prof. Sabine Rosahl and offer our sincere congratulations to her!


About the honorary professorship:
The honorary professorship is awarded by the university to lecturers, who had proven their pedagogical suitability by several years of teaching and special scientific achievements. Honorary professors work avocationally. They usually perform their function on a voluntary basis.
