That is why we have established a welcoming culture that is successfully implemented and structurally anchored in the institute.
Your start in Halle...
We offer a pick-up service on arrival at Leipzig/Halle Airport or Halle Central Station. The department secretaries will assist you with
- arranging short-term accommodation in our guest houses (please contact us early enough before your arrival)
- dealing with authorities, such as registering with the residents' registration office and immigration office
- opening a bank account and arranging health insurance
- finding accommodation and signing a tenancy contract
- organizing childcare and finding a school
- support for your partner in their job search (see also Dual Career Network Central Germany)
- arranging medical appointments in English
Your colleagues at the IPB will also be happy to answer your questions about day-to-day life in Germany.
