<i>Tag der Berufe 2019</i> at the IPB

Finding the right place for vocational training is sometimes not that easy. With the annual Tag der Berufe (Day of Vocational Training), an initiative of the Employment Agencies in Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, pupils can receive guidance with their career choice. But instead of a career counselling session at an office, this special day offers young people a taste of local training opportunities in companies and institutions. The IPB also took part and presented its training offers on this year's Tag der Berufe on March 6.

Around 30 pupils and parents visited to learn about the professions trained at the institute, including Biology Lab Assistant, Gardener, IT Specialist and Office Management Assistant. In addition to the opportunity to talk to both trainers and current trainees, the guests could have a try at the microscope, the plant pot, or the file folder. Maybe some of them were able to discover their dream job yesterday and will come back to the IPB as trainees.
