An unparalleled number of visitors: The 11th Long Night of Sciences was held on 6 July 2012 in Halle. The IPB attracted 1600 visitors and was packed full; also the children’s program was a real crowd-puller as in recent years. Plus enthusiastic first-time visitors. Adults were treated to selected guided tours, a stand with chromatography and protein modelling as well as a lecture on the multi-faceted world of carotinoids. Thanks to many committed helpers, the 2012 Long Night of Sciences was a very successful event with a great public-relations impact.
