Katharina Bürstenbinder is a member of the renowned expert portal AcademiaNet

Katharina Bürstenbinder was recently nominated by the Leibniz Association for membership in AcademiaNet. The expert database for outstanding women scientists contains more than 3500 profiles of top-class female researchers from all disciplines who have been selected for the portal on the basis of their qualifications by renowned European research organizations. Universities, research institutions, companies and the media use AcademiaNet to recruit female leaders, board and committee members, keynote speakers and experts, not least to counteract the under-representation of women in academic leadership positions.

AcademiaNet was launched in 2010 by the Robert Bosch Foundation and has been managed by the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Spektrum der Wissenschaft publisher (Springer Nature) since 2020. Financial support is provided by all major research organizations in Europe. Renowned science partners vouch for the outstanding qualifications of the female scientists on the portal. It is not possible to apply directly for AcademiaNet membership. We cordially congratulate on this success!
