This year, the IPB was once again awarded the Total E-Quality rating for equal opportunities and diversity. Together with 16 other organizations, the institute also received the Sustainability Award for the fifth successful application in a row.
Every three years, organizations can apply for the award and must submit comprehensive application documents outlining how they incorporate equal opportunities and diversity into their personnel and organizational policies. Once again, the IPB was able to convince the jury and was praised for its "prejudice-free and appreciative organizational culture [...], which is reflected, among other things, in an excellent onboarding, in which equal opportunity aspects are an integral part, flexible working models with uncomplicated application, various firmly established and easy-to-find contact and advice points and the active efforts to recruit (female) young scientists." The jury's statement also said that the IPB is a role model for the successful implementation of equal opportunities and diversity, and that in this role it makes a significant contribution to social progress.
The award affirms the equal opportunity efforts of the IPB, especially of the Circle for Equal Opportunities and Diversity, and is at the same time an incentive for continuous reflection and improvement of our organizational culture.
