The Colombian Ambassador H.E. Yadir Salazar Mejía and the Cuban Ambassador H.E. Juana Martinez Gonzalez visited the IPB on August 20 in the course of the GLACIER Symposium. The two diplomats were extremely interested in our current research projects, some of which they learned about on a guided tour of the greenhouses and laboratories. Of course, the focus was particularly on our various cooperation projects with Cuba and Colombia, which are being carried out by numerous doctoral students and guest scientists in the Department of Bioorganic Chemistry. There were also lively discussions about science, education and foreign policy matters.

There was also a guided tour for interested conference guests on the second day of the symposium.
