Debora Gasperini receives ERC Consolidator Grant

<link en employee debora-gasperini>Debora Gasperini, head of the research group "<link en research molecular-signal-processing research-groups jasmonate-signaling>Jasmonate Signaling", has successfully applied for the ERC Consolidator Grant. The prestigious funding line of the European Research Council is one of the most competitive and demanding within the EU and in terms of global comparison. The researcher proved convincing in the multi-stage selection process with her research project "MECHANOJAS". Therein, she plans to investigate biophysical cues for the biosynthesis of the plant hormone jasmonate and thus contribute to a better understanding of plant defense and acclimation processes. Equipped with the ERC funding of up to EUR 2 million over the period of 5 years, she can - as the name of the grant suggests - consolidate and further expand her own independent research. The IPB congratulates Debora Gasperini on this outstanding distinction and wishes her maximum success in the realization of her research agenda.
