"Plants as Masters of Resilience" is the motto of our 8th Leibniz Plant Biochemistry Symposium. This year, the institute's conference will be held in memory of our former Managing Director Dierk Scheel, who passed away on May 18, 2022. As department leader and outstanding scientist, Prof. Scheel, had a significant impact on the IPB's fortunes and also on the entire research landscape in the field of plant stress. The symposium takes place at the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina on May 8 and 9, 2023.
