2 PhD Positions on Protein Degradation Dynamics (m/f/d)

The Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry (IPB) is located on the Weinberg campus of the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. The research group Signal Integration at the IPB is seeking applications for:

2 PhD Positions on Protein Degradation Dynamics

in frame of a newly DFG-funded project.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to pursue scientific research at the crossroads of biochemistry, biophysics and plant physiology while investigating ubiquitylation of regulatory proteins. Ubiquitin protein degradation is central for proteostasis across kingdoms. The PhD candidates will therefore navigate the mechanistic of ubiquitylation, investigating how a ubiquitylation pacer impinges on growth and plant adaptation to biotic and abiotic challenges.

Requirements:
Candidates for the PhD scholarships holding a Master’s degree or equivalent in biochemistry, biophysics, biology or a related subject are welcome to apply. Extensive knowledge of biochemistry and proven experience in molecular biology techniques are a must. English written and spoken is essential for the position.

Application:
Please send your application quoting reference number 7/2019 as a single PDF file including: CV, publication list, if any, together with a short sketch of your research interests, and the names of two academic referees to bewerbungen@ipb-halle.de.

Please notice our data protection information for applicants (m/f/d) according to Article 13 GDPR concerning data protection processing in the application process:

Closing date for applications is June 1st, 2019.
