Dr. Steffen Neumann, Head of the Research Group Bioinformatics & Mass Spectrometry, is one of the 6,000 most cited scientists of the past ten years. This award is given every year by Clarivate Analytics. The analysis company lists the 6,000 most influential scientists across all disciplines by ranking their research performance as to whether they have produced particularly frequently cited publications. Their citation numbers in the Web of Science publication database must be within the upper 1% within a subject area and year. That's exactly what Steffen Neumann achieved in the category Cross-Field.
