IPB Health Management Team successfully applied for heart health lecture

In a nationwide comparison, Saxony-Anhalt has the highest heart infarct mortality and an above-average number of cardiovascular diseases. To counteract this, Herzblut für Sachsen-Anhalt e.V., an initiative of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, recently offered for free 20 talks on the topic of heart health, for which companies and institutions could apply. An article advertising the offer in the newspaper Mitteldeutsche Zeitung caught the attention of the IPB Health Management Team. The team successfully applied on behalf of the instiute, and thus on April 18, 2018, the IPB welcomed cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Metz from the Herzzentrum Coswig. He lectured on the development of cardiovascular diseases and gave tips on how to adapt a healthy-heart lifestyle. The fact that blood vessels calcify over time cannot be prevented, but the process can be delayed by healthy nutrition and, above all, an active and agile way of life, was Metz' tenor.
