There was a colorful and joyful mood in the air, when Indian students of Halle celebrated their Diwali Light Festival for the third time at the IPB’s Kurt-Mothes-Saal last Saturday (2nd of November). With over 100 guests, the party was again very well attended.

During the evening songs were sung, games were played and Bollywood dances were performed. Especially the popular game “Going to Jerusalem” ensures a good mood. It was played two times during the party because of growing enthusiasm. Delightful Indian food was also catered for the physical well-being of the guests.

“Diwali party this year was again a grand success”, says Anshu Khatri, master student in the department Molecular Signal Processing. “Most of the guests participated actively in cultural events and games. It was a lot of fun!”

Not only Indians celebrated at the IPB. Also guests from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Germany visited the party.

Such a multicultural event was also worth to be mentioned in the newspaper Mitteldeutsche Zeitung. The article was published in yesterday’s issue (6th of November: "Lichter gegen alles Böse").
