"All eyes on diversity" at the Diversity Day 2022
On Diversity Day, the three Leibniz Institutes in Halle presented themselves on the Halle market place.
On May 31, 2022, the nationwide Diversity Day, the IPB together with IAMO and IWH presented a booth at the market place in Halle. Taking the motto "All eyes on diversity", representatives of the three Leibniz institutes in Halle were there to answer questions about diversity topics from everyone interested. In addition to information boards and posters showing the diversity of our employees, small give-aways and interactive exhibits attracted passers-by to the booth. For example, people could work on a mosaic around the logo "Leibniz". Little by little, the many colorful mosaic stones formed a wonderful big picture - the perfect symbol for the joint efforts of a diverse staff in the everyday work and research of our institutes. In addition, visitors could try their hand at a proverb quiz and discover that communication across culture and language barriers can sometimes be difficult, but is always enriching.
As signatories of the Charta der Vielfalt, the Leibniz Institutes in Halle are committed to diversity and a prejudice-free working environment. Every year in May, the "Diversity Day" is to raise awareness and appreciate diversity in the workplace with numerous activities across Germany.
