Cookies and external services

Cookies are used to improve the user experience. Cookies are small files that are stored in the computer of visitors, to among other things identify them and to make website visits faster and more comfortable.

Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session (session cookies). Other cookies remain on your computer and allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). You can have your browser inform you about cookie placements in order to make such processes transparent. Furthermore, your browser can be set in such a way that the acceptance of cookies is excluded for certain cases or in general. However, the functionality of the website may be limited if cookies are not accepted.

We would also like to point out that when using integrated external services via our website (e.g., Google Maps for directions, YouTube or Amazon Cloud for videos), the providers of these services may store and evaluate your IP address and possibly other personal data.

If other cookies (e.g., cookies to analyze your browsing behavior) are stored or web analytics are used to collect and process access data, they will be listed separately in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

Browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Referrer URL
Host name of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
IP address

IP addresses in the log are anonymized after one week.

This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, in contact or event registration forms that you send to us as site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Contact / Registration

For certain personalized services, your personal data required for this purpose will be stored. These are usually your e-mail address, surname, first name and, if necessary, other data. This information is only used for the purpose of providing the best possible service, e.g., for queries, reservations, or deliveries. This data is usually deleted after the service has been used or when the purpose of the data storage no longer applies. If you wish to terminate such a personalized service prematurely or permanently and delete your data, you can either send us an e-mail (infono spam please@ipb-halle.de) or use a corresponding link to cancel a service directly. As a user, you have the right to request information about the nature and purpose of the data stored about you at any time and, if necessary, to have it corrected or deleted. The processing of personal data is thus based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit a GDPR). Your data will only be transmitted to state institutions and law enforcement agencies in cases required by law or for the purpose of prosecuting attacks on our network infrastructure. Data will not be passed on to third parties for other purposes. Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.
