Welcome to our internet-presentation about Mycorrhiza

German Language

Mykorrhiza is a widespread group of symbioses between plant roots and fungi. It existed already, when the plants conquered the main land about 410 million years ago. Today about 80% of all plant species are involved some kind of mycorrhizal interaction.

The presentation introduced here is being produced at the institute for plant biochemistry and financially supported by the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft. The presentation is aimed at grammar schools and universities as well as to all people interested in biological and ecological issues. It contains more than 100 graphics and animated gifs, a glossary with 277 headwords and several instructions for simple teaching experiments tested with pupils from the Georg-Cantor-Gymnasiums, Halle (Saale).

Unfortunately the presentation is in german language only. Here you can contact the authors, look at the presentation via the internet, load the zipped files ("version0304.zip", 26 MB) to your computer.
