Leibniz Community (WGL) – Active substance researchers from alliance

A Leibniz research alliance was established under the auspices of our executive director, Professor Ludger Wessjohann. The Leibniz Research Alliance for Active Substances and Biotechnology brings together researchers from 20 different Leibniz institutes in their efforts to combine their findings in active substance research and jointly achieve new results. This new alliance boasts a wide range of expertise: Infection biologists, virologists and tropical medicine specialist will team up in the next five years with neurobiologists, pharmacologists and evolution scientists as well as primatologists, nutrition scientists and plant researchers. First topics have already been identified: The future meetings of active substance researchers will primarily focus on aspects of health care, resource saving and safety as well as market analyses and nutrition and healthy ageing.
