Literature and research seminar

The aim of the literature and research seminar is to give an overview about prevailing research topics. Graduate students participating in this seminar should introduce an original publication from a high quality journal. This presentation provides a basis for an independent coverage of a new and unknown research topic as well as its critical discussion.

Participation in the literature seminar is obligatory for graduands, graduate students and research staff of the IPB. Within the framework of the seminar, each graduate student is asked to give a presentation approximately once per year.

The seminar takes place in the Kurt-Mothes-Saal each Wednesday at 9:00 o’clock. The presentation should not exceed a duration of 25 minutes. Seminar language is English.

The choice of a seminar topic is left to the student. Two or more PhD students can present topics which are related to each other. The chosen topic has to be given to Dr. Bettina  Hause at least one week in advance.
